AmertechTowerServices can provide full or partial replacement of your existing cooling tower fill (splash or film) regardless of fill and/or cooling tower OEM.
Film Fill
Check for holes, brittle or clogged packs. Holes through the fill are a sign of broken or missing nozzles or cracked or separated lateral piping. Since most of the heat transfer occurs in the fill area customers can thoroughly explore the different fill styles and types (we can provide unbiased, independent thermal ratings) in an effort to maximize their tower’s efficiency, BUT how many do the same with their selection of the fill installation company. A poor installation can cost your cold water temperature DEGREES even with the optimum fill selection. Whether it is film or splash fill, using advance planning and layout we minimize the number of cuts needed and the cuts that are required are made with precision, which comes from ATS’s crews many years of cooling tower experience.

Splash Fill
Check for deterioration, missing or broken splash bars. Splash Fill must be kept level an in position to perform properly. The first 6 ft. of crossflow cooling tower fill near the air inlet should be secured in place with clips to the support grid, and its overhang past the last support grid. Ice damaged fill slats near the perimeter must be repaired or repositioned. Especially with splash fill, installation is the critical component. As much as 75% of the total cost of a splash fill replacement project is labor.
