Fan Deck

AmertechTowerServices can provide repairs or replacement of your existing cooling tower fan deck. ATS will look for certain characteristics of your fan deck that would be cause for discussion such as but not limited to: decay, soft spots, connections between the fan deck and the supports are tight, loose or broken sheets (tripping hazard). Any hole in the fan deck will leak air, which bypasses the water. Holes are common under the fan motor, and somewhat less common around the perimeter of a counterflow tower between the fan deck and the outside casing. Access hatches must be kept closed.

We perform a variety of different replacements; from plywood to fiberglass to plywood with fiber-cement overlay. We not only will replace your decking but we provide free of charge an inspection of the deck supports. Installing new decking on rotten supports does not solve you problem and at ATS we provide solutions not just service. Often, when the fan deck is repaired, other companies could have boards left extending into the fan stack area. ATS believes these boards must always be cut off flush with the inside bottom flange of the fan stack to avoid obstructing the airflow.
