Cooling Tower Fan Deck Repair
AmertechTowerServices provides repairs or replacement of your existing cooling tower fan deck. ATS will look for certain characteristics of your fan deck that would serve as points for discussion and improvement, such as decay, soft spots, connections between the fan deck and the supports are tight, and loose or broken sheets (tripping hazard), among others. Any hole in the unit will leak air, which bypasses the water. Holes are common under the fan motor, and somewhat less common around the perimeter of a counterflow tower between the deck and the outside casing. Access hatches must be kept closed.
We perform a variety of different replacements – from plywood to fiberglass to plywood with fiber-cement overlay. We will not only replace your decking but we'll provide an inspection of the deck supports free of charge. Installing new decking on rotten supports does not solve the problem with your cooling tower fan deck. At ATS, we provide solutions, not just service. Other companies would often have boards left extending into the fan stack area after repairing the fan deck. ATS believes that these boards must always be cut off flush with the inside bottom flange of the fan stack to avoid obstructing the airflow.
